How do waitrons claim their tips when customers pay in-store?

Your waitrons have done the work, now it's time to claim their rewards. This is how to do it:

When a customer makes a payment in-store, your waitrons need to know how to claim tips. It’s simple and straightforward.

BUT first, make sure that they have linked the UBU Manager app for your business to their own UBU powered Wallet app. This is where their tips will be transferred so that they can spend as and when they want. 

All they have to do is follow these steps:

Step 1:

  • Once a customer has paid, a QR code will display on the screen of their device, as shown below:

Step 2:

  • The waitron, also known as an operator, must then use his/her Vendor Manager app and click on the “Scan” icon on the bottom centre of their screen

Step 3:

  • The Operator must scan the customers QR code to confirm the payment and to claim his/her tip
  • Once the customer QR code has been scanned, the Operator has claimed the transaction and their tip. He/she will see the screen below on his/her device confirming this
NOTE: In your Vendor Dashboard,  you’ll have an overview of who’s done what for the day/night and what tips were claimed and paid out
